The winning poster

Marcia Wilbert, a senior at Grand Island High School, is the grand prize winner in the poster contest sponsored by Tops Markets and the Taste of Buffalo festival. Shown here is Wilbert’s winning entry. She entered the contest through her graphic design calls at the Kenton Career and Training Center of Erie I BOCES. Wilbert and her school each received $500 in cash for winning the contest. Her design of a fl oral shirt-wearing buffalo strumming a guitar is being incorporated into the poster and promotional materials for The Taste of Buffalo, which has a Caribbean theme this year. The annual food-tasting extravaganza will be held Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9, in Niagara Square and along Delaware Avenue in Buffalo.
