was brisk Saturday for the Town of Grand Island Recreation Department’s
summer programs. Seen above, Artie McAuliffe, right, receives information
on the summer youth instruction and sports clinic programs from town Recreation
Director Linda Tufillaro. McAuliffe was there to sign up her grandson,
Zachary, 8, for a sports clinic. She said he played soccer for St. Stephen
School this past year. “He really likes it, so we thought the clinic would
give him some help and be a lot of fun at the same time,” In the photo
below, summer recreation staffer Ben Kozar helps the many registrants
complete their paperwork. Amanda Jordan, 6, had the honor of being the
first in line to register, with her dad, Michael. Tufillaro said more
than 300 registrations were taken over the weekend, and registration continues
