Summer concert series returns

Grand Island Dispatch, June 16, 2006

The Grand Island Recreation Department will once again put on its annual summer concert series. Each Tuesday night at the Town Gazebo, a different band will play a concert that is free to the public. The first concert will take place on Tuesday, June 27, at 7 p.m., with the eclectic bluegrass band, Creekbend.

Creekbend is a local Western New York band that has been together since 1978. Its playlist consists of original music and covers from bluegrass and other genres of music.

Creekbend is unique because its sound is not comparable to any other band. Each of the four musicians takes lead vocals on different tunes, and none of the songs sound similar.
