Ransomville Speedway opens 2006 season Lewiston Porter Sentinel, May 6, 2006 Eighty-two cars competed in four divisions as Ransomville Speedway opened its 2006 season on April 28. Boyd MacTavish celebrated his first-ever victory in the Mighty Taco Modifieds, while Jeff McGinnis started the season with a victory in the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman Division. Pete Stefanski won the season opener in the Bobcat of Buffalo ProStocks Division. Jeff Schulze and Glenn Barlow won their respective heats of the 15-lap Johnstons Restaurant Streetstock features. The “Big R” will close out the month of May will the inaugural race in the Lucas Oil Shoot-Out Modified Series on Friday, May 26. Niagara Maintenance Contracting Corporation will present the Lucas Oil Shoot-Out 50-lap modified race plus a full card of wheel-to-wheel action in the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, Bobcat of Buffalo Prostocks and Johnstons Restaurant Streetstocks.
