The Buffalo In-line Hockey Group started into its spring season on April 29 with a trio of games.

In the season opening game, the Vikings defeated the Hurricanes 9-2. Justin Swan scored four goals for the Vikings. His brother, Jason Swan, and Adam Rainey each added two goals in the victory.

In the second game, the Grey Ghosts crushed the Red Raiders 13-2 B.I.H.G. Player of the Week Rich Hilliker led the Ghosts with five goals and three assists. Alex Martin and Travis Campo each had a hat trick for the winners.

The Black Knights cruised to an 11-2 victory over the Vikings. Former league MVPs David Campuzano and Taylor Setlock provided much of the offense for the Knights. Teammate Josh Grant stepped up his defensive play and still found time to score four goals in the victory.

B.I.H.G. is perhaps the premier youth in-line hockey league in Erie County. The league plays every Saturday morning at the EPIC Center on Wehrle Drive in Amherst. New players are always welcome.
