Moose Lodge helps NCP

Grand Island Moose Lodge No. 180 presented a check to Niagara Cerebral Palsy from its recent Chili Cook-off fund-raiser. The sum of $1,100 was raised during this year’s event, which featured 50/50 raffles and Chinese auction baskets donated by Moose members. The chili was sold after the judging. In the photo, from left, are NCP Deputy Director John Reardon, Chili Cook-off Chair Kathy Lommer, NCP Executive Director Joseph Mineo and Moose Lodge No.180 Governor Rick Halas. Dave Williams won first prize of $50 in the Chili Cook-off; Halas won second prize of $25. Lommer, who won third honorable mention, said the Moose Lodge looks forward to a bigger and better fund-raiser for Cerebral Palsy next year.
