Tonawanda Community Fair set for March 25 Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, March 16, 2006 The third annual Tonawanda Community Fair will tale place on Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tonawanda Senior High School, 150 Hinds St., Tonawanda. The free, family-friendly event will feature informational tables and demonstrations from more than 50 area businesses and organizations. Also planned are children’s games and activities; free child ID safety videos from the Grand Lodge Masons service organization; free health screenings; the unveiling of 30-year-old time capsule from the Central Elementary School, giveaways; a Chinese auction fund-raiser to benefit the THS Philip J. Alejandro Music Scholarship Fund; performances by Tonawanda school district students; refreshment sales to benefit local youth groups; and a spaghetti luncheon (eat-in or take-out) to benefit the Family Assistance Center of Tonawanda. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Tonawanda Salvation Army Food Pantry. Visitors to the fair will receive free welcome bags, courtesy of Tonawanda city and school district officials.
