Tonawanda Community Fair set for March 25

The third annual Tonawanda Community Fair will tale place on Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tonawanda Senior High School, 150 Hinds St., Tonawanda.

The free, family-friendly event will feature informational tables and demonstrations from more than 50 area businesses and organizations. Also planned are children’s games and activities; free child ID safety videos from the Grand Lodge Masons service organization; free health screenings; the unveiling of 30-year-old time capsule from the Central Elementary School, giveaways; a Chinese auction fund-raiser to benefit the THS Philip J. Alejandro Music Scholarship Fund; performances by Tonawanda school district students; refreshment sales to benefit local youth groups; and a spaghetti luncheon (eat-in or take-out) to benefit the Family Assistance Center of Tonawanda.

Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Tonawanda Salvation Army Food Pantry.

Visitors to the fair will receive free welcome bags, courtesy of Tonawanda city and school district officials.

The 2006 Community Fair is coordinated by Tonawanda’s Healthy Community Healthy Youth Partnership.
