St. Stephen’s School awards essay prizes

St. Stephen’s Holy Name Society Essay Contest winners, their teacher and the Society president are shown in the photo. This past December, the St. Stephen’s Holy Name Society held its annual Christmas Essay Contest. The theme was “Why Christmas is Important to Us as Catholics.”

Each sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade student was asked to submit their original essay. The Society selected six essays from all of the entries.

The following sixth-graders were selected: Jonathan Voyzey took first place and won a $50 savings bond. Rebecca Meyer and David Conboy were both runners-up.

For seventh-graders, Kevin Gibas took first place and won a $50 savings bond. Brian Bobak and Justine Lazatin were both runners-up.

For eighth-graders, Adrian Tanguay took first place and won a $50 savings bond Alexandra House and Michael Mucci were both runners-up.

St. Stephen’s is very proud of the work that all its students do!
