Credit Union robbed

Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, December 8, 2005

An unarmed man robbed the Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union at 2931 Military Road in the Town of Niagara last Monday.

The suspect reportedly walked up to the counter around 3:15 p.m. and handed a note to the teller, demanding money. After the teller handed over $3,640 in cash, the suspect fled on foot south on Military Road, heading toward Laur Road. A police search of the area was unsuccessful.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, between 17 and 19 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and with a medium build. He was wearing a yellow sweatshirt with a hood, blue jeans and a red baseball cap.

The Town of Niagara Police Department has handed over the investigation to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone who may have any information on the robbery is asked to contact the NCSD at 438-3393.
