Grand Island Dispatch, December 2, 2005 Santa arrived at St. Timothy Lutheran Day Care Center on Saturday, where the Elf Auction was going on and a breakfast was served for all visitors. More than 300 folks enjoyed the event. This year, the Santa station was removed from the dining room for special visits. Fifth- and sixth-graders of St. Timothy served the breakfast, and parents staffed the kitchen, under the direction of Diane Brook of Perkins restaurant in Niagara Falls, second from left in the front row of the photo at the bottom right. She was assisted by Dan and Renee Gietz, breakast chairwoman Pam LaDue, Chris Jellinick, Jim Smith Eric Secord, and Angelo Gonzalez. Some of the donors included Perkins, Tim Horton’s and the Village Inn restaurant. Donna Webb, her son, Mark, and daughter, Sarah, checked out the Elf Auction theme baskets, and Center Director Lydia Shiposki displays a snowman. The auction chairman was Michele Pratt.
