Johnny Hall Concert at Whitehaven Road Baptist

A Christmas concert titled “ An Evening in December” will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Whitehaven Road Baptist Church, 1290 Whitehaven Road. This year’s program includes dinner at the Saturday performance and a dessert fellowship on Sunday.

The Whitehaven Road Church choir will perform under the direction of Vicki Dueck and will feature as guest soloist nationally acclaimed Christian recording artist Johnny Hall. Nominated for the Dove Award for Male Vocalist of the Year by the Gospel Music Association, Hall began his career at age 4 with a regular spot on the international radio show “Children’s Bible Hour.” In his teen years he received a full scholarship to study voice at the University of Michigan School of Music, which he pursued with an eye toward the “big-time” in New York City.

In his biography, Hall states that God intervened and changed the direction of his life both spiritually and professionally. He now uses his voice and drama talents to bring the Gospel message to people across North America.

Hall has appeared on broadcasts of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association and the 700 Club and has performed with fellow Christian recording artists Sandi Patti and Larnelle Harris.

Vicki Dueck says she has wanted to do a variety Christmas concert and was very pleased that Hall was available to come in for these performances.

“He has an exciting voice,” Dueck states and a “quality of artistry” which should prove very appealing to the audience.
