Christmas Open House

River Lea, the historic mansion in Beaver Island State Park, will be open Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. To get you into the holiday spirit, the house has been decorated by East Park and Bridgeview Garden clubs, the River Lea Quilters, the Historic Trinity Committee and Home Bureau. A harpist, Pat Ruof, will be performing for the afternoon. A lighted doll shows the way on the second floor. After the tour, enjoy refreshments of hot cider and cookies. The drawing for the raffle of an antique, painted teacart, circa 1920s, will take place at the close of the event. Tickets will be on sale at the open house on Dec. 4.
