'I Love Grand Island'

Grand Island Dispatch, December 16, 2005

Grand Island High School students in Roberta Frisoni’s marketing and yearbook classes have worked hard on a project in which they developed marketing campaigns to promote their hometown as a tourist destination. The project was initiated by student teacher Laura Grant, who is seen in the center of the back row in the photo at left. Seven teams of students designed promotional items seen here, such as bumper stickers and pamphlets. They also put together promotional packages highlighting Island attractions and developed business plans. Town and Chamber of Commerce officials balloted to select the winning campaign for further development and likely use by the Chamber.
