Relay raises $75,000
– and still counting

Lewiston Porter Sentinel, June 18, 2005

Lewiston Porter’s Relay for Life drew big crowds to the Lew-Port campus in the early evening to celebrate the community’s commitment to find a cure for cancer. The hard work of many relay teams paid off, raising $75,000. American Cancer Society’s Special Events Director Deb Bogdan said Relay proceeds should probably hit at least $85,000, once all the last-minute donations come in and are tallied. Lewiston’s Relay for Life was “a terrific success,” she said. “It was a beautiful night.” The warm summer evening was picture perfect, and a great opportunity to see people unite for a good cause.
