Foundation "Share Your Happiness" Drive a tremendous
success

The 2004 Grand Island Neighbors Foundation Holiday
Distribution was the largest ever, with aid provided to 60
families. This would not have been possible without tremendous
assistance from many Island organizations and individuals.
The Knights of Columbus were key in providing use of their
hall for two days. School children donated over 5,000 pounds
of canned goods and other food and a great team of high school
students from the DECA and Interact clubs sorted that food
into 60 baskets for the families. Many other organizations
such as Fuccillo Chevrolet, Invitrogen, Rotary, Zonta, BPW,
all five school staffs, and lots of individuals made major
donations of food, gifts and funds. Firemen, school district
workers and the Town Recreation Department provided invaluable
assistance. The families who were helped cannot thank all
these people personally, so the Neighbors Foundation of Grand
Island would like to do it for them by thanking the individuals
and organizations who supported our 'Share Your Happiness'
holiday distribution, gave gifts, or worked in this very successful
drive.
