Two weekends remain for NCBA
Parade of Homes

The Niagara County Builders Association Parade of Homes 2003 got off to a great start this past weekend, thanks in part to the beautiful weather. Guests of all ages attended this unique multiple-site home show, where they were able to view nine custom-built homes throughout the towns of Wheatfield and Lockport, built by seven of Western New York's finest builders. Attendees were able to tour the homes and collect information from the builders, including floor plan options, lots available, and layout and decorating ideas. In some cases, the builders and subcontractors themselves were on hand to answer questions and showcase their products, from cabinets and doors to water filtration systems and gas grills. Also available at each house are glossy, color magazines packed with information about the show, including a map of all the home locations, photos and descriptions of each house, builder profiles, and more.

Visitors also filled out entries at each home to win a gas grill courtesy of National Fuel, a $75 gift certificate to Orville's Appliances, and Buffalo Bills tickets and prize packages, courtesy of Ryan Homes. A couple of enterprising kids, including some local Boy Scouts, were on hand to sell hot dogs, pop, and water to the passersby.

Participating builders include Sil Barone Homes, Mordeno Construction Co., David Homes, Ryan Homes, Prestige Designs, Eddy & Lewin Homes, and Rosal Construction Co. All of the homes in this year's show are ENERGY STAR® Labeled Homes, which feature improved insulation, ventilation, heating, cooling and appliances and are 30% more energy efficient than conventionally built new homes.

Major sponsors for the Parade of Homes 2003 are Countrywide Home Loans, 84 Lumber, National Fuel, NYSERDA/ENERGY STAR®, and the NCBA. The ninth annual Parade of Homes is open to the public for two remaining weekends: Sept. 27th-28th and Oct. 4th-5th. The homes are open from noon to 5 p.m. each day of the show. For more information, including a map of the house locations, visit www.ncbuilders.com.
