Angel to Apple: Five years down, many more to come

Clothing boutique marks fifth anniversary

Angel to Apple Clothing Boutique recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. As part of the festivities, two contests were held: patrons chose the most fashionable store shopper, and Rachel Goodman won the "wear the most stuff" contest, as she was covered with more than 60 items purchased in the boutique.

Goodman took home a $150 gift certificate. The trendy, women's clothing and accessory boutique also offered specials and giveaways.

A portion of the proceeds benefited the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event in Lewiston. This donation was in honor of the owners' dear friends, Heather Ewy who recently battled breast cancer, and Kim Gillis, who lost her father to cancer in 2011.

"This is not only a great day for Angel to Apple Clothing Boutique, but also a day to celebrate fashion from the last five years and give back to the American Cancer Society, who strives not only to improve the quality of life of cancer patients, but decrease incidence rates and provide amazing resources to patients and their families," Angel to Apple owner Jamie Symmonds said.

Symmonds, who lived in Los Angeles, had dreams of returning back to her hometown of Lewiston and opening a women's clothing boutique where she could feature L.A.-based designers.
