Felt Knit Purse Class |
The Village of Lewiston Recreation
Department is offering a class on felt knit purse making. It will
be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Red Brick Municipal Building, corner
of North Fourth and Onondaga streets. Participants will supply their
own yarn, needles and purse liner. Pre-registration is required.

"Key to the Locks" Award Ceremony |
The Erie Canal Discovery Center
will present its third annual “Key to the Locks” award ceremony on
May 10. Honors will go toward a local citizen who best presents and
promotes community spirit and heritage. Nomination forms are available
at the History Center, 215 Niagara St., Lockport, and via e-mail
at keytothelocks@yahoo.com. As part of the ceremony, an Erie Canal
Song Contest will be held. Song submissions are due April 1. Original
material must include “The Locks,” “Erie Canal” or “Lockport.” For
