Native American Beaded Stitch Sampler Class The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department is sponsoring a Native American beaded stitch sampler of leaves workshop for adults. Class meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Red Brick Municipal Building, corner of North Fourth and Onondaga streets. Anita Greene is the instructor. To register, or for more information, call 754-1990.

Watercolor Painting Class for Adults The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department is sponsoring a watercolor painting instruction class for adults. Intermediate and advanced students will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Red Brick Municipal Building, corner of North Fourth and Onondaga streets. Applications forms are available on site. Rubber Stamping Classes The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department presents five different rubber stamping classes on April 1, 22 and 29 and on May 6 and 13. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Red Brick Municipal Building, corner of North Fourth and Onondaga streets. Classes can be taken as a whole or participants can come one night only. Felt Knit Purse Class The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department is offering a class on felt knit purse making. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Red Brick Municipal Building, corner of North Fourth and Onondaga streets. Participants will supply their own yarn, needles and purse liner. "Key to the Locks" Award Ceremony The Erie Canal Discovery Center will present its third annual “Key to the Locks” award ceremony on May 10. Honors will go toward a local citizen who best presents and promotes community spirit and heritage. Nomination forms are available at the History Center, 215 Niagara St., Lockport, and via e-mail at keytothelocks@yahoo.com. As part of the ceremony, an Erie Canal Song Contest will be held. Song submissions are due April 1. Original material must include “The Locks,” “Erie Canal” or “Lockport.” For more information, contact Doug Farley at 439-0431.

One Stroke Painting Class The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department is offering a one stroke decorative painting course taught by Sandy Raff. Participants can take one class or all four. The group will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Red Brick Municipal Building, corner of North Fourth and Onondaga streets.
