Dear Candidate,

On behalf of the staff of Niagara Frontier Publications, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your announced candidacy for public office. NFP, your local community newspaper publisher, can assist you in reaching your target voter audience. Keep in mind that your papers are the only ones that reach all of your prospective constituents.

As proud publishers of the Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, Lewiston Porter Sentinel, Island Dispatch, and Grand Island PennySaver, we are happy to offer a variety of services to prospective office-holders. As you begin your campaign, we can publish news of your candidacy at your convenience with our without a photo. As the election nears, we are willing to run a news story explaining your platform if you wish, again with or without a photo.

There is no charge for these services; it is one more way that your weekly newspapers can assist you in your endeavor. Articles will appear as space permits, but will be published on a timely basis. Likewise, we'll do our best to publish newsworthy events on a space available basis throughout your campaign.

Be advised that our election coverage policy allows for publication of significant news articles on your campaign up to two weeks prior to the election. Political parties/committees are advised that they can submit up to two letters to the editor per election year, again with a two-week time frame limit leading up to the election. And we adhere to a policy of one letter to the editor every 30 days from individuals or groups for publication.

Bear in mind as election day nears that NFP's staff is here to assist you with all your advertising needs as well. From copy writing preparation to design and promotional ideas on your campaign, we are here to help. Our wide coverage areas allow you to reach your target voters at their homes, as well as in various high-traffic distribution locations in the community. In addition, we can provide insertions of pre-printed informational campaign materials and zone them for delivery to specific target audiences for just pennies per item.
